Why thank you Ann Marie, flattery will get you everywhere.

I've changed it now though. I suppose I should make the effort and at least try a half-smile.

Dont mention it, always a pleasure. Nice Smile but prefer the other one though, more of a moody, badboy look x

Not a lot of options for you in a town that size. The danger is just settling for anyone to save being lonely. If your circumstances permit it, i'd be out of there asap unless you love it there of course. Every guy says personality, hang in there Wink

I've been meaning to post in this thread for a while. I'm a little drunk, but I'll try and make sense.

I don't think you can totally separate looks and personality. For example, a pretty girl, to look at, can look the part but be miserable and moody, or just plain boring to me, so she's never going to keep my attention. Whereas, as has happened, a women who in theory is less attractive is a purely physical way can catch my eye because of her energy, a nice smile and looking confident and happy. In the end it's the combination that keeps me hooked.

It's also worth me saying, I guess, that a woman can become more attractive to me over time, physically, as a result of knowing her and having a good time. I'm not sure how that works, but it does. I start seeing, appreciating and loving things I never noticed before, or suddenly became fixated about. This happened, with my ex, over the things I initially liked the least about her physically. They ended up being the parts of her I touched and held the most.

Because I know that about myself, I do sometimes make some effort with people who are not immediately attractive to me, so long as there's a sign of some sort that might be very interesting once I start talking to them. In the online world, it's why most of the time I'll read a profile even if the picture doesn't grab me.

Hope some of that made sense.

Having never had any luck in my whole life with women because of my awful looks I would say that looks are definitly very important far more important than personality.

In the right circumstances he does, for example, if I was stuck on a desert island alone with him, I'd want to die.

But I have been told that I am ugly by women and other people so many times that I know that is why I am not getting a woman.

Have you considered becoming a Catholic priest or something similar ? Perhaps by making yourself such an obviously forbidden fruit you might get somewhere.
