I have a realy hard time with this whole dating idea. If from what you all have said so far about personality being more important overall then why is it I'm still alone. It isn't that I'm ugly am I? Crying or Very sad

It is really frustrating though. I am the one person in my whole freinds group alone and it frustrates me to no end. All I really want is just a guy I could hang out with and do thing with. No serious relationship right now anyway.

Personality any day of the week, whats the point in having something pretty to look at if its as dull as dishwater?

Whilst I wouldn't date someone who looked like something out of a horror film, Im not overly picky on looks if the person in question has a good personality to make up for it.
I've learned not to judge a book by its cover (after all, if everyone judged me on my looks alone, Id be up crap creek without a paddle!).

Personality is def important, but you don't look across a crowded room and think "Oh, he/she has a great personality" so it starts with looks,

Thats why i think these sites are really good as you get to know alot more about someone's personality than you ever would in a Pub or Club. I have met a few guys from here because our personalities have 'clicked' and even if we haven't gone down the dating route, we have still remained friends, which is great. I am definately attracted to someones personaility more than looks, but if he is tall, a bit rough and ready, then even better xxx Ann-Marie

Maybe a little bit ginger??

This subject is always going to run and run, but it's been proven time and time again that looks are always a foot in the door. If you're physically repulsive your options are limited. Personality is great and all that, but it's not immediately attractive.

How many times have you looked at somebody's profile and instantly dismissed them based on their photo? Be honest now. I'm guessing it's more times than you'd be willing to admit to.

We all love to say personality, but the reality is somewhat different.

thats very true, and i admit ive looked at someones pic and thought, nah i dont fancy you and thats been that..
but some of the best relationships ive had have been with people that ive gotten to know and realised how amazin they where...

with a bit of slap and some nice clothes, i scrub up ok and sometimes seeing people as day to day, you dont realise that they can look amazing

Why thank you Ann Marie, flattery will get you everywhere.

I've changed it now though. I suppose I should make the effort and at least try a half-smile.
