I am really starting to wonder if there are any decent guys on this site i ve chatted to alot some are nice but not what im looking for and some tell alot of lies. Im looking for a guy who is just decent and genuine and i suppose good looking as attraction is important i know i sound superfical but there does have to be something there.

Nothing wrong with looking for someone who's good looking, you have to fancy someone before anything else happens in my opinion. Plus you have to walk down the street with them so you dont want to have them wear a bag over their heads if they're ugly.

Is NICE and DECENT not the same thing ?

No nice and decent arent the same decent is genuine and honest and nice is someone u can talk to but they may not be genuine

I sure there are plenty of nice and decent guys on here

I like to think I fit that description but in general that seems to work against me as most women i have met just end up just wanting to be friends

Many sites have a large majority of crude men - but I'm willing to bet 90% of those who are crude are young lads having a laugh and not seriously on her for the same reasons as us.

I've met many great people online and I think you really have to play the numbers game. One thing I would stress however is don't get your hopes up - go with the attitude of making friends and then pick out of those who you think might be worth meeting.

To be honest, the best place to be is probably forums. Messages received on the main site might be people messing around, russian/nigerian spam bots sending you invites to meet a stunning factitious partner or those simply doing it for an ego boost. Forums are full of people who actually want to take part in an online community for a common goal.

Even if only 10% are on the net for a serious chance at meeting someone, surely it's worth being in the draw if it only takes a little of your time?

As long as you don't go at it with high expectations, all the harm it does is take a few minutes a day.

I have met one guy from here so far, he was quite a bit older than me but the nicest guy I could hope to meet, trouble was the distance, if he was closer...

Well I can honestly say that I'm a nice, decent guy who is looking to meet someone......but I'm also looking to meet new friends, male & female.

I am having the same trouble trying to find a nice, genuine woman from the Glasgow area, who is also looking to meet someone.

It's all very well telling someone you're a nice guy etc. but personally I find this approach rather arrogant. It's something that can only be determined by a persons actions imo.

you never really know till ya meet em me thinks.a keyboard is something some people hide behind.
