I was thinking about starting a thread on this subject, then found this one so I'm gonna revive it.
My simple answer is "I prefer tall men". But life is never that simple......apart from a 5 yrs relationship with a guy 5 feet nothing (I'm only 5'4") all the guys I've ever dated were at the very least 6'.
But I've been attracted to two gorgeous fellas sat in wheelchairs (shucks they were both married) but to be honest the short guy I dated for 5 yrs is the only short guy that I've ever really been attracted to.
Not sure why. It's not a concious thing.
I guess it doesnt help that now my sons are 6' and 6'6" --- i've just always been surrounded by (and therefore grown comfy with?) really tall men.
It has to be said that the tall guys I am attracted to are also quite 'big' with it, not like skinny bean poles.
I try to never stereotype anyone, but having but one example to draw on for conclusions.....the short guy I dated must have been bullied by the bigger boys at school cuz he had a real chip on his shoulder about his lack of height and could be quite spiteful about tall people at times. It was embarrassing at times because of his behavior and he compensated for it by being very materialistic (in my opinion).
It put me off shorter men, thats for sure.
But of course there are some really nice sexy short guys out there, I guess I've just not met them.

I'm 5ft 10, feeling rather tall compared to the other ladies on this thread Rolling Eyes, but I don't know whether height matters, it does depend on the guy, although I don't think I could date someone significantly shorter..

I'm 4'6" and the tallest guy I've dated was 6'4"!! When I was younger I always said I wouldn't go out with someone less that 5'5", but as I've grown older, it doesn't really matter.

Going out with a guy who's 5'5" should be tall enough for someone of your size surely? 6'4" is nearly 2 foot taller then you!!! Bloody hell!!

Personally i could go 5'6" or above, preferably above. And could never be with anyone smaller than me.

im 5ft10 i feel that it pretty tall and i like to go out get dressed up and wearing heals and i dont know if i could go out with someome smaller than me as we would look rediculous together if i wore heals, and i know i shouldnt let the height become an issue but it does

Most people seem to have an ideal in their mind about the perfect partner for them, I suppose height will come into that. When I was in Scotland most of the women I knew were small and it was what I came to be used to. Since then I have been with one woman taller than me (by an inch) and one the same height they were both lovely women. Personality should be able to overcome all but the biggest hurdles. I am 5.10!
