Yes I do ask few question when I meet her at my clubs like
Do you smoke, drink, take any subs, if they have any kids, and their star sign, after that I take her hand and dance, flirt, and complement her? If I find her matching my healthy out looks usually they are very friendly and never get offended.

It seems so silly tho (to me). My first husband was 5ft4". And I could pass up the chance of meeting some lovely guys (you for a start chief Very Happy ) cos of it but i'm just too self-concious of being tall Confused Sad[/quote]

Thanks RedOctober Very Happy Id almost put myself on a rack for you if it gave me half a chance Very Happy But i know what you mean on being self concious regarding the height. I try not to care about it when im with a girl who's taller than me, but your always conscious of other people's looks. I mean the vast majority of people are good solid and decent, but it only takes one sneer from some smartarse to put a damper on a night out.

I don't think comments would worry me overly these days Chief, I'm just concious that I'm tall. I used to stand out at school as a kid. I was 5'7" by the time I was 12! I never really had problems from other people, i was just always aware of the eyes!! I've just never liked standing out Confused

I know what you mean, I had the same thing, either a mixture of pity, contempt or smug superiority ..... Thank god almighty school is over for both of us. I found life so much easier after it.

In most cases i don't have a choice BUT to go out with women taller than me Very Happy but to be honest RedOctober. Id like to think i wouldn't have a problem, but reading back over some of my posts, its obvious i do. I guess my main problem is the perception of other people, (and 5 inch heels Smile) Also Its a very childish presumtion on my part but in some cases you sometimes feel your masculinity is in question if your date is significantly taller than you.

Looks i still have some growing up to do (no pun intended)

personally, at 5'6 i think you are seeing yourself shorter than you are..and i see you have a passion for acting and comedy..why not use this to your advantage..if you enjoy who you are then others will not even think about stupid remarks, especially if you could turn it in your favour with your humour..and i agree, i think you are mistakingly assuming that everyone is thinking this about you..

Just curious about how people regard height when it comes to dates or first impressions.

If a gentleman is secure with himself and does'nt mind me being 5'9" in heels, height isn't an issue. It's whats in a man's heart and mind that count.
