i think that physical attraction is just as important as any aspect of dating.
it's not the be-all and end-all because i find myself attracted to people for the strangest of reasons.. usually their personality!

also, it's reassuring to see that the person you're chatting to online has lots of pics of themselves, and aren't just using a random pic they found on google.

you see, s6boystu could easily be mistaken for that annoying guy off 'Extreme Makeover - Home Edition' and could have easily snatched a pic off tinternet of him.. lol

lisabeee i'm going to have a nosey at your pics now (and hope for some bikini shots or thigh high boots lol)



another thing worth mentioning is that usually people tend to choose pictures that are the 'best' in their opinion but aren't actually a true likeness of what they REALLY look like most of the time - eg. professionally done pics or ones where the light was really good or an abstract angle that makes them look younger or blurrier! lol Hence why i went for one where i'm unshaven, squinting and not really smiling! haha

I have a selection (probably too many) some good some no so good, but I think they give a true likeness to me. wysiwyg

Also mine are mostly recent ones, not like some i've seen on some profiles, some are 4 or 5 years old, people change....doh!!

Yes a pic is important. If you're looking for a date. Has anyone ever actually hooked up with someone on this site or do people just talk about their ideas on dating?

Some have hooked up, there have been a few success stories on here, even a wedding which is happening sometime soon, pics are important if you're serious about wanting to meet someone, how could anyone meet a person without even seeing that person, unless they're mad of course

Not always, I want a picture cos I'm nosey, and I wanna know what the person looks like, and it is more difficult to make a good first impression, not impossible though.....

On here yeah. You never know who you're talking to, even with a picture. No picture just worries me, cos there are so many spammers out there. But most important to me is a good opening message. If somebody sends me a good opening message then i become engaged and want to chat to them even if i don't find them physically attractive - though i've yet to find someone on here who is hideously ugly . Bad opening messages and i wont even look at your profile! x
