You have to go into your picture gallery and click 'flirtbox.net' for it to show up on here, btw.

i'm not fussed if someone has a picture in their profile or not,

but consider this, if your out on the town... who are you more likely to go talk to, an attractive person, or a not so attractive one ? Looks are important to a certain extent, it's like window shopping - in a vague not really kind of way.

I like this ... my analagy would be akin to shopping, if i like the look of something i go and touch it and see how it feels, if its prickly i put it back, if i still like it i go and see how it fits, if it looks awful i put it back, if it fits and i still like the look of it then i take it home with me .... isnt that a bit like dating lol?

that's pretty much the way it is, if you don't like the look of something, you don't pay it much attention. i know it's crude and shallow, but it's true..

Well a photo or a meeting, but neither and I find it rather hard to trust what I'm dealing with.
I mean a photo here where anyone can see is another matter, but for those who are looking and might want to see me, thats available.

By nature we are visually inclined and therefore tend to judge things that way. Since we can't hear a voice here either (and the keyboard doesn't give too much feedback) visuals still are important. Yet the spirit of the message still says most!
Nice peeps are nice peeps, whether you can see them or not.
Love to all here tonite.

A photo or not isnt going to stop me talking to anyone who has something half decent to say... and youre right, the spirit of the message says a lot about a person. I know you cant hear the intonation of the dialogue but if you write how you would say something i believe the tone and the smiles show Wink

Although the content of messages is the most important thing to me, I really like to have some idea how the person I'm messaging looks.

I was talking to someone without a picture and added them to my msn as they told me they would let me see a picture, but it never matertialised so I decided not to talk to them again. I felt like I was being 'toyed' with.

I have had communication with some men that I had no idea what they looked like so if I was looking for a friend, then appearance doesn't matter, or if they were in my day to day life they wouldn't need to be 'good looking' 'cos I would be getting used to their personality at the same time, but to see that someone whose appearance has no attraction for me at all, after having messaged or chatted to them for ages is really disappointing, and it's quite difficult to tell someone that you just dont fancy them.

I just find it unbelievable that guys can also ask me for nsa sex, and expect an answer without knowing what they even look like, or anything about them. I'm sure that they have based their request from seeing a picture first.

Now, I only visit the profiles of my visitors who show that they have a photo, unless they write to me, then I will usually answer, and some have then shared their pictures with me.

I do understand that there are some valid reasons for some people not to have their pictures displayed but for others they really do have something to hide like being married and wanting to cheat on their partners.

you can have the best email ever but unless the person behind the email floats your boat the its all for nothing really, ..in a dating sense anyway ...and the first thing your going to ask is, ..i wonder what they look like?

To me, often when it is prickly, I will hold it just a little bit longer, just in case pleasant things start happening.
