how important is your photo on here we all have different tastes and want different things from a date or relationship isit not shallow to only talk to people with photos what do you think i will say that the reason ive brought this topic up is that on some occasions the photos can be up to ten years old i once met a women of a dating site who actually put a photo of her mate on here and looked nothing like what she said she did

Maybe I'm shallow, but I'd say that visual attraction is the natural first step to a relationship (if that's what you're looking for).

So yes, for me a photo is a pre-requisite.

I agree with Tim, I think it is important to have your picture on here, I know its not the most important thing but you do have to have that attraction with someone...its not the be all & end all but it certainly helps.......for me anyway, hope that doesnt make me shallow tho, I have chatted to guys without a pic but it is much nicer to put a face to the person whom you are chatting to.

I'm not going to put a photo up now I've rejoined, but then I'm no longer using the site for dating. I am strictly here for the forums, and haven't filled in anything beyond the most basic required information.

I don't think it matters all that much.

If you don't have a photo, women don't reply to you because you haven't got a photo. If you have got a photo, they don't reply to you because you don't look like Brad Pitt.

No difference in outcome.

I reckon that it is pretty shallow to go by looks alone, a picture IS nice to see on a profile cos it helps to know that they are not a Nigerian or summat, but I don't think I could really fall for anyone based on just a picture or two.

When I browse through the pictures on the main site, I don't think to my self "Why is she still single?".
But, the more I use these forums, the more I tend to think to myself how odd it is that YOU are all single!
I can see attractive qualities in (most of) the people here that a photo could never show, and those qualities are the ones that really matter in life.
I could give names and details, but it would probably be better to say nowt....
