I have been using internet dating sites for about 4/5 years now and I have made some great friends both male and female (no Im not bi or a lesbian) Id say the positives far outweight the negatives and I like to view it as meeting/ chatting to people that in the 'real world' you never would, either due to location, work or even, dare I say it, class divide.

I totally agree with you,. but what I meant is that with the internet you get the chance to chat and meet to people whose path you wouldnt cross in real terms, you are hardly going to meet the country loving, outdoor type guy living in the middel of a city, or the sufer type when u live inland. Alot of women may well agree here too but as a single parent you rarely get the chance to afford to frequent places where more successful people go.

I have had limited success although I am still single at the moment it hasn't been a total failure like the real world.

In all honesty it depends on your location. I'm in "Dyfed" (Or Carmarthenshire for the peeps born in the last 5 years) in Wales. There are 13 women in my area, and I haven't spoken to one. not by not trying, but due to no replys. I've had one woman message me from Cardiff, but as I'm not driving it'll take 2 and a half hours to travel 60 miles, without waiting times. However I'm still here, lonely, but having a laugh with a few people. I chat a lot now, as I don't get the chance with mates as much anymore. But I plan to move away from here, with in the next two years and move somewhere more "fruitful" if you will.
