people sometimes look at me in shock when they discover i'm not stupid lol. as if just because i'm female, blonde and young i should be totally lost in the big bad world.

plus i guess the fact that i have two kids and no dad adds in to the illusion that i am as thick as two planks. like i got pregnant by accident twice by two random one night stands and have no idea who the fathers are lmao.

I like daft ppl as I say 'cause I find them to be unconscious comedians with a much beeter ability to laugh at themselves than your average "brainbox".

Perhaps this is why your intellectual type feels a bit 'out of it' on occassions, not because s/he is some kind of mekon with so highly developed cerberal muscle that all other mere mortals must quake at her/his amazing feats of intellect that boarder on the autistic.

Now I know that's a total sterotype but we've all met them. And the fact these pple have a 'superior' wit perhaps it should be demostrated a bit more judicially by themselves - you know the saying "a time and a place.."

I guess that ties back with what I was saying earlier in a kinda round about way - that ppl are ppl but naturally group themselves and maybe a bit of awareness would help ppl to reign in their superpowers a bit and make them a bit more likeable and familiar.

I'm too serious....and way too sarcastic. I'm more than likely to come out with a sarcastic comment than a joke. Embarassed

it's the way it's demonstrated. When it's used to belittle ppl it's not clever it's just down right nasty; bullying.

And as for sarcasim being the high form of wit - B/S!

This is not directed at anyone person so pls don't take it that way.

Personally, {and even although I do enjoy conversing on many levels} in terms of general likeability and over all gregeriousness I prefer ppl who are led by the heart rather than the head as they tend to be more honest and genuine.

Thanks, suprised anyone remembers me. My ex was a dyslexic we didn't have much in common either, but we lasted 7 years had a son together then she decided to cheat on my with 3 different guys in the same week.

Ive tried to find common interests but, it doesn't seem to work.

As for teenagers yea they suck lol
Are you suggesting that dyslexia and intelligence are dependant? They are totally independant of each other. I am dyslexic and have a good biomedical degree.

*sigh* Didn't wanna have to post on these forums again but, I have to correct you here.

When I said that, I was in NO WAY discriminating against dyslexic people. I was merely stating that she was dyslexic and we lasted for 7 years. She kept saying she was thick and stupid but, I knew for a fact that she was intelligent. Just when I finally manage to get that evil bitch from my mind someone brings it up again. Also, I know quite a few dyslexic people and have very interesting conversations with them, all dyslexia is, is word blindness anyway.

And at the time of writing this topic, I was feeling very depressed. This thread has been blown way out of proportion. I do have emotional intelligence. But, when you are feeling down its hard to draw upon that and to use it.

Thanks for telling me what dyslexia is, word blindness. I had been wondering what these random small black things are that I'm looking at.

BTW one can be dyslexia and thick, dyslexia does not guarantee intelligence at all.

'tis an odd thing, I've met many dyslexics but not one was on the lower end of the so-called intelligence scale. Might just be the people I mix with or maybe the brain compensates elsewhere.

I dunno luv, Ive only met a few dyslexics, and this was at uni, so trully I dont know many. BUt It is possible to be a thick shit and be dyslexic. It is an interesting condition though, the brain is wired up differently so the impusle travel in differnt directions to a normal bod. We're quite special Smile BUt to put the label on it purely as word blindess is bollcks, no matter what the greeks say haha there's so much more to it. But I must admit, becuase I was so late in being diagnosed I did struggle at school to the point where I failed all my exams and did spend many years thinking I ws a thicko - cousdnt understand why I need to stuff in my head and could tell someone in great detail but I coudltn express it on paper. what a relief to find out why!!
