Actually Ant, you've said a lot of sensible things today. Are you well? Don't you think you ought to go lie down til it passes? I think perhaps medical help might be required here. I'm very worried for your wellbeing Ant.

That's because you give so little away Ant. You're also a very private person. Not everyone is as keen to divulge their private lives as some of us Smile

Wow, didnt expect my original post to get this long. Alot of interesting points indeed.

I think, with the original post I was making I tend to write in proper gramma and spelling. The main reason I made this thread in the first place is because I got snubbed just because I am reading a certain book. I probably should have worded the original post a little better though.

You sounded pretty crappy too which never helps. Its difficult to put across what you're trying to say when you feel like shite.

What was the book?

Universe - The Definitive Visual Guide

Well i couldn't find it on Amazon, but the title suggests its mostly pictorial. Maybe the universe is just too out of her depth?! Sounds interesting to me actually.... No answers there at all saints. I'd stop worrying about it.

Thinking about it Im actually wondering if this girl was intimidated in anyway by intelligence, or if she was just judgmental. Seems possible that that she saw the book and decided that saintsfan was a certain type of person, say a geek (or whatever). Which is pretty shallow and would mean he probably had a lucky escape anyway Smile

And just for the record..Im a geek and proud Razz

After having had a ponder I guess that human nature, being as I understand, is to divide into groups based on the the perceived similarities, and by extension, exclude those that don't appear to possess the same.

Basic stuff really, but the point I'm making is that we use these perceptions -of others, and ourselves- to make judgements {who's good, who's bad, who etc.} as a protection mechanism.

Only when we take the time to realise this, then can we acknowledge, that these same protection mechanisms may actually inhibit us from actually getting to know other good people.

Anyway starting to sound like a lecture so I'm away to burst some bubblewrap now.

I tend to be attracted to intelligent guys. They don't have to be as intelligent as me, just as long as they aren't stupid and have common sense.

Or at the moment...guys that can at least read. And write........His own name.
