Thanks for telling me what dyslexia is, word blindness. I had been wondering what these random small black things are that I'm looking at.
BTW one can be dyslexia and thick, dyslexia does not guarantee intelligence at all.

Oh dont get me started on the whole iq v intelligence factor i would be here all day telling you my life story.
Lets just say this little girl has had over 10 tests by certified doctors i know my iq but would never post it on a forum, have trained herself to spell by learning the dictionary cover to cover at bedtime. even though my spelling is still bad its nowhere near as bad as it was. failed her gcse'sapporlingly. yet is a published poet, in the process of writing a book and through ability to talk managed to beat off 4 uni degree students to gain a placement at one of the worlds biggest it recruitment companies. yet on the other scale of things my mum has the condition, she is an amazing artist award wining tattooist but finds it exreamly difficult to communicate, which hinders her in making and keeping friends.
There is no stereotype for dyslexia. each suffer is unique

| Well, it seems like it to me. I have an IQ of 161 and alot of people seem to be intimidated by that. If you are friendly, fun and maybe good looking what difference should my intellect make? |
I have a similar IQ to you (not that I rate verbal and non verbal reasoning tests as a particularly good measure of intelligence)
I find that my intelligence is an asset rather than a liability when it comes to attracting the opposite love.
The problem it causes me is that I often find myself becoming bored with less intelligent girls.
I read somewhere once that men are supposed to be intimidated and put off by girls who are witty and/or intelligent, but for me it is a prerequisite- I cannot fancy a girl who isn't funny, and to be funny requires a reasonable amount of intelligence in my opinion.

Nope, she's revolting.
My ideal date would be the girl off 'The Fifth Element', and it wouldn't matter if she was funny or not because she'd have her mouth full...

my son has dyslexia pretty awful but he is a very bright intuitive and artistic/creative little man, the side of dyslexia he has that he most gets upset about is his absentmindedness, n forgetfulness, back on thread i personally dont know my IQ know i am intelligent and i find that i need similar intelligence in my relations or i get bored too and i dont tend to find them as interesting.

I think most are like that. You want someone you know you can have a conversation with on your own level.
