No, it doesn't put me off one bit - after a certain age, it almost becomes expected I think.

I'll be totally honest here. After having 4 of my own and now getting to an age were I can do stuff for me, I'd probably be a little weary of someone with small children. I'm not sure i could do small children all over again.

On the other hand, I know that my having 4 is what puts a lot of guys off. I seem to be at an age where older guys don't want the responsibility again, and younger ones want some of their own.

I think I'd have to be put in a situation to know for sure. When it comes to love, it'd be my heart telling me how to deal with the situation.

There are lots of people who today have children. So no i would not be put off. Besides of which i have three of my own. And i do beleive that when you get to a certain age that it is almost inevitable that the majority of people you will meet will have children.

But it doesn't necessarily follow that having your own kids means you'd be willing to take on someone elses. I know from bitter experience Sad

I've taken on kids in 2 different relationships! in one case it was 4 and the other 3!

It isn't so much the number of children but in both cases the children were teenagers and from each family i encountered one child who opposed me 100% and that can create problems all round! it tests loyalty and puts huge strain on love and the relationship as well!

A few years back i dated a much younger lady, she had 2 kids aged 6 and 3! ok it had its disadvantages but i found that the youngsters were far more able to cope and adapt to a new man in the house and it certainly kept me young!

I've gotta say that kids don't represent a problem for me in fact it often appears that i represent a problem to them!
