younger/older or your age?

is maturity a good thing or a downfall? discuss

Most of the time I act my age.

Alot of the time people say I act older than I am.

Sometimes I act like a kid. I'm friggin nuts. In the playful, silly way rather than the immature "grow the f**k up" kind of way.

So. All 3. Depending on my mood, where I am and who I'm with.

I think I'm mostly seen as not being mature for my age in real life, but I don't mind. Often, though, when talking as a faceless person via the web to other people I have been mistaken for being older than I am. I'd like to think I have a pretty good head on my shoulders when I need it. Usually, in real life, I just want to be silly and have fun. It's a part of who I am. I too often find people who take pride in their "maturity" to be boring and lacking in adventure, except in some controlled and non-spontaneous way.

If I'm cycling around 3 30 pm schooldays, my antics make the schoolkids laugh and shout after me - I get the speed up and do little jumps off the kerbs - funny as! wheelies too!

Getting into stoppies too - front brake on, lift back. I did this in a local busy huge beergarden last summer - ballanced beautifully in front of our table for a moment on front wheel, then wend straight forward over the handlebars to land in a heap of bones, fleash and pushbike! Pissing myself laughing! Mates were well impressed and I think there was some applause Laughing

I'm not sure that a person's maturity is at all linked to their age. I've known middle-aged neighbours to act like school-children with petty rows about trivial nonsense, and conversely, I've known 21 year olds that are to straight-laced they'd get kicked out of a convent for being boring!
Maturity isn't about having commitments or rites of passage either.
People get married and have children, doesn't make them mature.
Being of a certain age doesn't really correspond to behaving a certain way.
I behave like I did when I was 18. I'm wiser, I suppose. Meaning that it's a lot harder for people to rip me off, having learned from mistakes.
I still enjoy insulting and offending people, just as much as I did 16 years ago!

Depends on my mood, down and i feel old, up and i feel young. I change age with different company too. Being middleish 30's i'm neither young or old so why not.
