I live in about the half point of Britain so I only need cross half the country. Laughing But yeah, if we got on and clicked, I'd definately make an extended visit down to wherever in order to get to know them better. And who knows, later on, I could be tempted into making a move, if things went really well. Sites like this expand your usual dating horizons - so why not make the most of it?

I've travelled to London and Glasgow. I don't think I would anymore though - it's too far away to get to know someone properly.

I suppose it depends whether either person is prepared to move, otherwise distance is an issue for sure, both in time and money to travel.

I'd say about half the country - so for me that would be Glasgow/Edin' .. Carlisle .... Birmingham / Manchester / Nottingham area. But probably no further since I've found distance relationships tend to not last heh

Until a few months ago I would have gone almost any distance to meet the right person - indeed I did on a few occasions.

Oh, I should mention that someone from FB came from London to see me down here, bless her, she drove all the way down here without any problems then got lost on a dark country lane within a mile of the house. I think it spoilt the weekend for her. Or maybe it was me that spoilt the weekend? I still have a soft spot for her though, the little darling.

Anyway, I digress. Nowadays, I’m a little less inclined to travel any further than the city centre (which is about a 15 minute walk from my place Laughing

Oooh, I’m such a liar! It wasn’t that long ago I eagerly hopped on a train down to St Ives - being on a promise helps with the motivation

Well some things never change and it would seem that if i want to meet anyone from this site i have to get across the water to do so. I don't mind doing it but its not as easy as jumping in the car and bombing down the motorway Confused

My best friend met someone from here, he lives in Cumbria and they take it in turns to visit twice a month. Seems to working quite well at the moment.

I know, most inconsiderate. Everyone got lost along there, even I missed the turning sometimes.

Unsurprisingly, although the place where I live now is near the city, it is equally difficult to get to, due to the one way system. Not that I get many visitors (maybe I should start using the Requests thread in the sex forum?)
