As you know am new to this but hey, gotta start somewhere! i'd say dont give up all hope! you never know! hes clearly a good friend who chose not to take advantage of the situation and people like that are few and far. When i was 18 (seems like yesterday) my best friend was a girl (pip) we did everthing together, drink, bowl, pics days out etc. i was in your situation and too was told just want to be friends.... o.k . 12 months later she confessed to being in love with me so then together we were, living together then engaged and spent 7 happy years together . my point being you never know what the future holds and if nothing else sounds like you got a real good friend you can rely on!
