Well as you all know this is something i have always been ........... very honest ........ maybe too honest, which i dont see as a bad thing.

Just wondering what other people think on the subject ......... i have noticed recently that a lot of people tend to say what they think others want to hear rather than be 'honest'.

Yes it's the internet and some might say 'who gives a f*ck never guna see any of them anyway'.......... But for those 'genuine' few who are here to maybe go on a few dates or maybe meet your future partner ........ is it not better to be yourself from the start.

We can all pretend to be something we are not but you will get found out in the end if you ever do actually meet up with anyone.

Maybe i am little niave ......... but as a person who can be nothing but honest finds it very strange and get really annoyed when i know for a fact people are not being entirely honest

Definately best to be honest, I always give honest responses on here, but dont always comment if I see a post I dont like, so as not to offend.

I certainly dont pretend to be something I'm not, but do find it difficult to get my true personality across... I think some (if not all) have a, maybe slightly different idea of what I'm like, to what I am really like.

There's a fine line... Say someone thinks they are ugly and boring and such... Do you think they should tell others their honest opinion on themselves?

They might actually be totally great, although great usually ain't the word for someone who thinks they suck, but they can actually be quite nice, in spite of their beliefs on themselves...

im always amazed whenever people reckon that to lie is such a black or white area.there are shades of grey to honesty. i for one am not naive enough to think that i wont or never have lied.

sometimes its essential to lie to avoid hurtings ones feelings or someitmes u lie thinking initially that its required when in fact it was best to be honest.
