It's not fun if you have any awareness of how the internet works. By putting your email address in a public place you're leaving yourself open to spam and potential virus threats. Not from people on here, I may add. There is software used by spammers known as "Harvesting Spiders" they trawl through forums and other web pages picking up every single @ sign on them, collecting the addresses and then your inbox is full of porn, Nigerian mail scammers and possibly viruses.
Ergo - not fun. It's blatant stupidity.
Phone numbers? What are you thinking of? If you give out personal information in such a thoughtless and offhand manner, anything could occur. That nice young lady who chatted to you, offered to meet you, gained excess information about your whereabouts could easily be arranging a lovely burglary while you're on your way to 'meet' her. Or to have you beaten up and mugged. You will never know.
However, if you want to live dangerously with your 'fun' then by all means go right ahead. Just don't moan about it when it goes pear-shaped.

I've been sent over 25 mobile numbers and more than 80 email addresses from opening messages in less than 10 days. It would seem that the world is blessed with a lack of common sense. They're lucky I'm not a burgling spammer.

That's ok, I can't call them all at once anyhow. I was more thinking along the lines of it being a bannable offence on the forum, is it not the same for messages? Personally. I just delete them and don't respond but it doesn't stop more arriving.

Much easier to police a forum than messages I'd say.
Blocking messages before deleting them will stop more from that sender if you aren't already, but unfortunately those sorts of messages seem inevitable on these sites.
