I met my ex on Faceparty, She messaged me and we messaged each other a few times, spoke on msn as well. First date was to the Odeon to watch "The Man". I was with her for 3 years.

I've met a good number of women from "cyberdating," and have actually found them to be more like what I expect than, say, someone I met on the bus. (I'm not sure I've ever met someone in the pub to be honest). It's because I would never meet them before talking to them a little bit first, so I already have some idea what their personality is like in advance.

Personally, I find the utility of these sites is it cuts through a good deal of small talk and embarrassment. Unless you're both lying (which you could do in person too), you already have a good idea each other's perceived interests, what you're looking for in general, what sort of job you have, etc. etc. Let's you move onto more serious topics like, "legs shaved?" "well, halfway - didn't think you'd get any farther."

I've met a couple of people before..

.. one of them things were going okay but he was so nervous, after he ate we were walking back to my car, and he puked infront of me over a wall... maybe i should of felt sorry for him but i thought it was vile.. so it was a typical " so maybe catch ya later" type goodbye! Never have i spoke to him again, changed my number! And another turned out okay, seen each other a couple of times, nice bloke. Had fun but nothing serious! It's annoying how things are different online than reality sometimes ! x

Thats where honesty and being yourself really plays a part .......... people cant act forever can they Wink By the way Curvy i think your great ....... x

Definetly ! Theres plenty more fish in the sea.. i'm just not so goood at the fishing ! And awww thankyou funky chick! You are too !! xxx Very Happy

Yep, not through a dating site or anything though, just through myspace, and relatively close to where i live, and never met the person unless i had actually seen them on cam or spoken to them or something, and vice versa. The longest distance was my ex who lived at the other side of manchester in oldham,

Can't say iv'e had any bad experiences really.. im always missing the train though.. if that counts.

I went on a date last week, where the guy actually cooked for me. Quite a good cook I must say. Which was a first for me. LOL

Unfortunately I was so f#%$&*g nervous, I finished a bottle of wine, and got verbal diahorea. And spilled wine on his couch.

(I always get nervous when I'm with a hot guy)

Guess it was not that bad, as I've heard from him again.... saying he wanted to do it again!
