A chat up line in the great scheme of things is just to make an opening to actually chat to her, hopefully make her chuckle even if its then sympathy for you being such a shmuck.

All ladies say why don’t you just say "Hi,...etc", and I ask you back how many times has that worked on you? You ladies blow off "Hi..." all the time.

Now someone mentioned come back lines, this is one I use...

If I see a lady i like I will go over and ask her to dance, I like to dance I know im not too good at it, but its fun and ladies love it if you make an effort.

A while ago I asked a lady this question, ad she turned around and gave me loads of abuse for just asking her to dance. So i politely said to her when I could get a word in, and said 'No dear I didn’t ask you to dance, i said you looked fat in those pants'", her friends fell about laughing at that, and then I was taken to the dance floor by one of her friends.
