Ray mate, be yourself. Dont over do it. If she doesn't like you for who you are then its her hard luck. Dress smart but not like a banker. take her a flower by all means but above all chill out and try and make her laugh. Works for me.

That is good advice! Blimey!!

Just be yourself mate and it will all be good! If she is a genuine lady then she will like you for you not what sort of aftershave you are wearing!

Okay so it looks like next weekend I may have my first date/meet for quite some time. It will be some place central for coffee so she can feel safe.

Any thoughts/suggestions? I thought I would bring a single red rose?

I have met her on a seperate site which is why I am asking advice here.

Ray

Wow good luck Ray. The red rose sounds like a lovely gesture Very Happy

Actually was now thinking of dropping the flower idea and go with a small box of chocolates (Pralines Laura). This is only plan C and there are plenty of days left to change this at least to plan X.13 V4.

Smart dress - Yep.
Be Myself - Yep
Be nervous - Definitely

But then she has still emailed me today, so I haven't scared her off yet.

Have agreat night everyone.

Ray

Take a tin of salmon and say you just won the local "unusual pets competition"that should break the ice nicely, and good luck, if i am too late with the advice, then i hope it went well anyway

Okay tomorrows the big day (first meet big day?). Sorry everyone but I chickened and went with the safer options chocolate thing. If it was possible I would have bought some Dahlias. But only flew back from Holland tonight and romance sometimes is at the whim of logistics.

Nervous me? Nope pulse is at a very steady 170.

Don't suppose there are any absolute clangers I should avoid? Remember look eyes.

Ray
