Do you think he could have said the comment as a (very) tongue-in-cheek one? Or as a bit of a wind-up?

OMG. That is a funny one indeed. At least it is not the usual one liner :"Fancy a shag?".
Its these idiots that are giving the rest of us"normal" men a bad name.

Bizarre.
Before, I had no photo up and had only gotten as far as stating eye color, height, blah blah and this guy wrote that he'd read my profile (all nothing of it) and knew in his heart that I was his soul mate, so he was certain when I read this I would have no choice but to reply....which I did out of politeness saying I was really looking closer to home (I think he was in morocco) and he vanished!

Had a few on line marriage proposals I can't help replying by telling them how silly it is and that I don't even know them. The bit that gets me though, is that if you see them on cam they're a completely different person to their profile pics! So where is all this 'honesty' and 'god fearing' etc.they profess to be
AND they seem to think that if they want you, you should want them too, How silly is that?

If any of them had truely read my profile they shouldn't even be expecting to be in a long term relationship, let alone marriage!!!! Rolling Eyes

Believe me you, wouldn't want an offer, but the scammers don't target your age, you've got to have enough years to amass your wealth before they'll be interested in you.

The thing is that most of the marriage proposals on the web are not for love or offering anything worthwhile...... they're about people who are aiming to rip off older women who they think are rich and can just give them everything they want. Sadly, there are some woman who are so vulnerable and they fall for charm and sob stories ending up losing much of what they've spent a lifetime working for. In the end it's not just the money, these people are 'romantic charmers' and quite clever and leave broken hearts or emotional turmoil.
