I really thought that its important to wear top brand clothes but when I started to live in Uk and bring the money home not just expect it from my parents I’ve changed my mind. Hard school of life. I really wear what is comfortable and looks good on me. I would rather to spend money on something else. F**k every1 who is judging me by that what I'm wearing. It's just outfit nothing else. Real what you get is underneath anyway.

some of my clothes are designer some arnt, i dont go out of my way to choose designer goods, but if im out shopping and something catches my eye i will usually try it on and if i like it on me i will buy it if i can afford it. i dont use designer goods as 'ego props' and i dont care what clothes other people wear, i tend to accept people for who they are and couldnt really care about there appearance as long as they were clean people and not minging dirty and greasy hair (like the woman who pushed in on the queue to the till in Boots yesterday grrrr). i know theres alot of people for whom fashion is life, but you have to understand that for many of those people, fashion is propping up their ego and without it they probably feel quite worthless.

I see what your saying Chief, but most women live in a world where carting kids and shopping around aren't conducive to wearing the height of designer label.

I wear flat shoes most of the time for comfort and so i can run when the youngest wonders off!!! Very Happy I've only ever possesed one pair of white jeans that got dyed black after 2 months!! And my favourite designer label is GEORGE from Asda

I see as i'm walking around town many that are wearing fashionable clothes with small children and the majority seem to be under a certain age. I also recognise many of the styles so know they come from our local shops so chances are, they don't pay designer prices.

I think most of us on the forums are average people leading average lives and either can't afford designer labels, or don't feel the need to express themselves through them.

So Ray, stick with what you're comfortable in. Nothing worse than going on a date and fidgeting cos you're not sure of what your wearing Smile

Just a quick question, if you can get jeans for £3 should you?

Assuming the price is legitimate (not a loss leader or clothes being 'dumped' after being subsidised in their production) how much must the person who produced the garment be on...

Obviously this is not just an issue at the bottom end of the market, the top labels probably used similar product methods.

Just wondered.
