not sure about mine -- since I started shaving my head with the clippers I usually just do the head and face once or twice a week. The other day I did a clean shave on the face though and now I'm thinking of sticking with it.

I prefer having facial hair, but mine grows incredibly slowly and poorly. Even water and compost don't help. I've resorted to letting it grow for a week and then shaving it all off. Really though, it depends on what the lady prefers - I don't mind either way. Which generally means shaving every day... Laughing

Clean shaven all the way for me, though a bit of designer stubble can be quite sexy on a man

I must have sported it all by now: beards, goatees, sideburns, never a mustache though. Finally I prefer happily uncomplicated. Twice a week the clippers over the chin and hello Indiana Jones!
What amazes me these last few years is that I am beginning to understand why my granddad had hair sprouting from everywhere. It is indeed just a hormonal age thing. Must be a trade off for acquired wisdom. Nothing a bit more grooming can't solve though...

Love facial hair, provided the wearer suits it and is comfortable with it.

At the end of the day it isn't what's on the outside of a man, but rather what the contents of said man are. This, it goes without saying, also goes for a woman, although the hair part doesn't fit very well in this equation.

Whilst I agree whole-heartedly with this sentiment, it is a sad fact of life that there is a lot of superficiality when it comes to the whole 'appearance' thing, and when push comes to shove, what people say and put into practice is sometimes quite different; personal experience speaking, I'm afraid - I've heard the insincere 'it's what is on the inside that counts' story too often to take it too seriously anymore, I let time prove the statement now (and, no, I'm not bitter, I'm old enough - and been around the block enough times - to take a lot of things people say with a pinch of salt, and wait until they are either proven sincere, or insincere, in their values.

Rather refreshingly, I have to say that the few people (read 'women') that I've met through this forum (rather than the site) have proved me wrong, although to be honest I *still* don't know whether it was the 'inside' they were attracted to, or my craggy features (complete with greying facial hair, neatly back on topic)

Very Happy )

And I know from personal experience that there are some (both male and female) that mean it when they say it's what's inside that counts Smile

I'll make no comment re your craggy looks cos if I choose one way I'd be proving your point and if I choose the other way you'll be thinking I think you're an ugly bastard Wink

I did say I have been proved wrong.

Ah, you don't have to worry about offending this ugly old bastard Very Happy He's had loads of 'orrible things said to him in the his time, he has a very thick skin.

I have to say (seriously) that I don't think I've met anyone for ages who has been attracted to me for my looks (i.e. whether I have facial hair or not, etc), and if I am to believe the things I have been told, the attraction has indeed been the 'inner me', with creativity, sensitivity and thoughtfulness being cited as the 3 main qualities (hey, I might as well put a plug in for myself, no-one else is exactly queuing up the forum login button )

On the facial hair thing, I was thinking about it......since the age of 18 I've only ever been sans goatee three times, and all three times were due to a razor slipping and taking a big chunk out of it, so I shaved it off completely and regrew it. Now I keep it stubble length (I do it when I do my hair, also stubble length, every few days).
