So when somebody doesn't show up for an arranged meeting, what excuses have they made or if it's you, what excuses have you given to them???
Some I've been given may be true, may be not:-
* "My car broke down and I didn't have a number to call you!"
* "My brother was in a car crash so I had to go to the hospital"
* "I had to do night work"
* "I had to have my essay done to hand in by the morning"
" "I took my mum shopping but afterwards she borrowed my car to drive home in"

Oh and just to point out that none of these excuses were made on the day/evening, but came afterwards, one even 3 weeks later.

How disrespectful is that, since most people have mobile phones with them when it suits them!

I've been stood up once and the excuse given was she had to go and buy a car. Not sure why she couldn't phone me.

She asked me through a mate is there anyway she could appologise and wanted to see me again...but nope

Omg! the cheek of it.... yeah, that's what I can't understand when people don't have the decency to let you know either

Somebody once gave me the excuse of...wait for it.......


"I don't have a car"..

The best part is, he could have got on the 71 bus from arnold to town, or to the pub we were meant to be meeting in
