Yes, they work for what they are meant to do I think - put you in contact with other single people who are looking for some sort of relationship. That works fine, its the afterwards - making a relationship that lasts more than a couple of e-mails that these sites dont help with, afterall its the personalities involved and whether they get along OK that makes the afterwards work.

I think they are good for any sized town you live in, generally within a few miles of where you live (a bus ride, car journey, train or walk away) there will be somone else on it.

I have met a couple of great lads off here and each relationship lasted a few months, shame they didnt work out but i take full responsiblilty for that you just gotta accept what will be will be and keep on looking and not be in too much of a rush. We all have someone out there somewhere. x

I think there is more activity on this site than another (paid for) site that I have used. I think this site has loads of potential to be even greater though.

I think this website would definitely work if I lived overseas. I keep meeting some great people, but they live across the Atlantic. I guess I'm going to become an ex-patriot, lol. It doesn't have many American members but I still love it

recently i seem a lot better at this than the last time i was on dating sites, thats for sure! 100% honesty and openness and to freely reveal stuff about myself seems a winning combination. I was always that way inclined but i didnt talk about stuff that worried me before. its only since my last relationship I have the confidence to be ok with everything that I am and not be compromising myself. I tell people stuff the way it is and they can either like it or not. In fact people seem to prefer that even if they don't agree. i only been on gdff for free for two weeks in this instance and i already got a date. and 3 more looking good. whereas last time it took like 8 months to have 3 dates.

Well I will put it another way then. If you live in a small urban area then you are going to have to be prepared to travel further to meet people than if you live in a huge city. The main advantage about living in a huge city is that you don't have to travel far to meet people from the internet.
