My son and daughter have got used to the idea now and show the occasional interest.... but are somewhat amused by the coincidences that have arisen across the miles. I think I've written about some of them elsewhere, but all I can say, it's an even smaller world once you're on the web.

My family are pretty much apathetic about anything that I do, they know I'm a sensible person that can look after myself. Which just proves that what you know isn't always right...

Pretty much most of my family thought I was an idiot for using dating sites but since I started using them my dad has since met the woman he now lives with through a dating site and my mum has had a 'bit of fun' through them as well.

Also, my youngest daughter met her boyfriend through mutual friends on MSN.

I've been with my boyfriend for 2 and half years now (met him through POF)so the last of the sceptics aren't so funny about it now.

Most of my friends find it strange to meet people from the internet.
But after explaining how diffecult it is to meet someone you actually might get on with, and have something in common. They still don't understand, so I have to explain it like a 3 year old.

So where as I surpose to meet? In a pub!!
Great everyone is under the influence of alcohol, attractiveness is then the first influence and not personallity or compatability and you restrict yourself to only people from your local area...

Sounds like pot-luck to me.
