I can identify with this, 6 months/3 stone ago i was'nt getting much in the way of responses/contact. As the weight has disappeared (and I guess looking healthier in general) i've noticed a rise in interest in my profile (here and elsewhere) and while i'm not "beating them off with a shitty stick" there is a considerable difference between then and now.

For me there is no doubt that in general, women are pretty much similar to men in this regard.

For months I haven't had a picture up, and I haven't had any messages or hardly any looks at my profile. About a month ago I put a picture up as I look now, over weight. I got a few messages and a few profile hits. I took that down and put one up how I looked a few years ago when I was slim..blimey my profile looks went through the roof and I was getting 5-6 messages and 'winks' a day, asking me do I want to chat. Me or my profile is no different, just a different picture.

I haven't got a picture up at the moment, so no message or profile hits, I might put one of my fat bloke ones up again, see what happens Wink

most so called"fit guys" i know are arseholes and i wouldnt get ibnvolved with them, i would rather have a bigger guy with a fantastic personality who is sincere, who i can have a conversation with etc etc instead of someone who may be classed a sfit but who may be totally socially inept and so far up their own arse that they can see their tonsils. Also i have never liked to cuddle up to someone whose body is as hard as rocks, i like a guys body to be a bit softer so i can snuggle .... aaaaah, but like someone else said i wouldnt want to be with someone who was so big they had to wipe their arse with a sponge on a stick. On here for eample, i would much rather chat with someone who sent me a message who was a bit larger and down to earth rather than someone who was pretty to look at but boring as hell. All said and done tho, i just bloody love men

disclaimer; i am not saying that all "fit" guys are like this so dont get on at me, i am just using some i know from experience, who also happen to be friends of mine, to get my point across. Just in the same way, some bigger guys i know are like this aswell.

My first husband was 5ft 4 (I'm 5ft 9) and slim. My 2nd husband was 6ft 4 and nigh on 18 stone! And i've had relationships with guys of varying degrees of size and shape inbetween, the 2 things they all have had in common is a sense of humour and the ability to cook damned good food.

We all have different ideas of what makes someone 'right' for us and often what we want from a relationship changes as we get older.

The sweeping generalisations are bang out of order!

With you there girl!

My last long term was 6,5 and the same wide, I have also dated guys that have been almost as short as me and whippet thin.

Some people go for looks, some have a type, I have a type but it is more to do with personality than looks.

Oh and anyone who spends more time in the bathroom than me or works out obsessively is a no no from the start.

Of course women don't mind a bloke being fat.
If Peter Kay walked into your local pub, offered to buy you a pint and started chatting you up, you're hardly going to give him the cold front are you, ladies?

I'd say 'no' to him, but I'd say yes to Robbie Coltrane, and he's even bigger

One of my fave FB guys has something to hold on to, and my all time fave in here by his own admission, is not skinny Very Happy

I like like quick witted and funny men and sometimes they are fat sometimes they are skinny. Don't matter on their size I can still think they are the sexyiest man in the room.

If they are so fat they need a sponge on a stick to wipe their arse then I am afriad that is too big for my tastes. But I am just shallow like that...

oh well my search goes on Surprised

About 10 years ago when I was fit and slim, myself and a mate pulled two women younger then us [mid 20's and very pretty] in a pub and later that evening all went to a night club together, they paid for themselves btw. I went to get a drink for me and my mate, when I got back the one I was talking to all night was talking to a younger fat bloke in the Peter Kay mould. They sat down together and I could see her laughing at him all night. Towards the end of the night she walked up to me and said sorry he's making me laugh. My ego shot down I said don't worry, we're going soon anyway. She then went back to the fat bloke said goodbye to him then came back to me, and we went back to her place.

Personally I think all this 'making me laugh' and personality is rubbish with most women, they still get turned on by looks.

Well pesonally, if i was out with a bloke and he whipped it out !!! his wallet that is full of money, parading it for all to see, i would think what a tosser, dont like guys who give it the 'biggun' those ones normally have no personality and a small dick. But back to the subject, i have never dated a 'bigger' guy, not intentional you just fancy who you fancy. Ann-Marie xx
