Glad i spent 5 mins looking for this, i was going to ask a similar question myself, as i smoke...

i just wondered if people that do smoke, smoke as much on the "first" date, or if you hang back and "suffer" for a couple more hours?

If im with a non smoker i will suffer, and not just for the first date but thereon too, i might have one in an evening and i would usually take that outside - even if im in my own home, i believe its about being considerate to others too.

look, if they dont like one of your habits...dont change for someone unless you REALLY want to. Maybe dont smoke in the car or at a restaurant, but if you are outside...make sure it doesnt go in her face...but I smoke and I like it..and if they dont...I make sure I walk around the corner but I never hide it from them.

We can't smoke in restaurants in Britain any more... or bars.. or clubs... or any enclosed public place or workplace.

I'm a considerate smoker, I smoke outside, as no one else smokes here, and it's my choice whether I smoke inside my room or outside, so, any weather - rain or shine, snow and ice, you'll know where i'll be Smile

I do it because I hate the smell the next day of stale smoke, and it sounds weird, but I like nice clean air when i come back inside the house.

And I used to live in/run pubs a few years back, thank god for the ban, suits me perfectly, although the alcohol gets to the head faster with all that fresh air every now and then Smile
