Very few work as the pillar "Qaulity Time" isn't stable though this will fall on deaf ears on those who hav't experienced it

It takes a lot of time to travel distances and there is the added expense of travel and hotels to stay in when people are meeting from another country or big distances in the uk..... especially if they live in out of city places where cabs to stations are the only means of transport.

Well i would barely have enough time for a relationship if the guy lived down the road

Having said that i have had a couple of distance relationships the longest being a guy in London, none of them broke up because of the distance. After one had ended the guy asked if i would be willing to move, he was shocked when my reply was YES. twas too late to ask me then though

Yes they can work but only if you both put the time in and are honest about where you want the relationship to go.
