I actually have the opposite problem I can't really get myself to send messages to people, so therefore i don't realy get many back.

I just can't send a message without feeling wick.

One guy was pingponging PMs at a rate of knots i couldnt keep up Well it was gone 1 am so I wrote "I'm off to bed now, catch you another day" but i then got an email from a *real friend* so i replied to that and then replied to another PM before switching my puter off, this guy sends me a PM in all capital letters YOU ARE A LIAR YOU ARE NOT GONE TO BED YOU ARE STILL ONLINE WHY DID YOU LIE TO ME????? DONT YOU LIKE ME OR SOMETHING YOU BITCH!!!!
Needless to say, I blocked him.
Sadly, these kind of websites attract all sorts, including spanners who think the world revolves around them.
I think maybe bear in mind some guys come on here after a night soaking up the bar and feeling lonely, sorry for themselves and just a tad arrogant and cantankorous. (or on drugs).
Possibly there are women like this too here, but i dont know.
But no need to generalise, there are just as many really nice "normal" guys on here too!! Very Happy

politeness is not a way to solve problems like that Wink
if u don't like talking to somebody u just have to say that u don't want anymore.....
why being so cold smiling and telling that u are off to bed? is exactly a real life fake smile and swearing into the mind......
some people, might be nuts, but can read between letters better than many ....
like the one u mentioned, above.... he know that u justa said that to spit him off.....
definitely, don't agree with his no maners way of talking.... but what he wanted to do, trough that message, is that u can't play him as u want.....
PS: when reading a phrase without seeing pe person's face,expresion,look..... it can be easily misunderstood

"I love marry OFF, I hate FAKE PEOPLE" Sad Sad Sad

u might be right,or not....
what do u like: straight foward people?
or
people taking long ,diverted ways, without any clear anser?

that is why I like the marry off version....
for me, people that are not giving a clear anser, trying to "spit" u off, are just some No Chance Givers Wink
everyody deserve a second chance.....

Um.
Well.
Okay.
I told the guy the truth, as it stood. I intended to switch my computer off and go to bed. But like I said I got waylaid. It happens sometimes.
I didnt see the need to then PM that guy and say,"Someone just emailed me, so I've decided not to go to bed just now".
Or am I supposed to relate my personal moment-by-moment movements to a total stranger online?
I am confused, in all honesty, I never thought of myself as Fake or dishonest.
Just that sometimes my plans go adrift occasionally, like bedtime gets put on haitus...
Rolling Eyes

As for "playing him as you want" What the heck....????
I intended to go to bed, I said goodbye. End of.
My bedtime got postponed. Simple As.

I dont "play" people. Surprised

/shock horror an hour ago I told my mum on the phone that I was about to make myself a cuppa. I still haven't got round to making it. Oh my God, I'm a dishonest Fake!/

OMG, RG! I mean, seriously... Really... Hello? You are supposed to say: I have changed my mind and will stay online some more, but I don't want to talk to you... And, mum, I know I said I'd make tea, but I didn't, so you can create a 30 minute conversation on that subject. Razz

This is a bit of an odd one. Quick scan through the thread for the first time, the opening poster should be able to answer her own questions as she has said she has done it Surprised

But they do come in both genders. I've had a few not very nice comments when I tell some women that I'm not really interested in traveling far. Also when I politely say thanks but no thanks, after a message.

Some men are probably worse. Its probably harder for some men to get used to equal rights and women changing so much. They have probably been in relationship for years before their break up, and deep down want the sort of relationship as used to be, with the little old lady behind the kitchen sink. Most women want something different though.
Also easily chatting then rejected, by someone that is probably unattainable for them can be disappointing for some men.
I rarely message anyone, so not sure if I've ever come over like that

But there are desperate women and men.
