My tip would be to get a couple more photos of yourself on your profile. A nice big smile and show you eyes so we can see you properly! And go ahead & FLIRT!!!

Everyone seems very friendly and just the odd compliment you will get here and there will build up your confidence in no time.

Have fun!

This has been a topic previously.... Again we are different ages here and we all have a little confidence problems. I think to be honest its irrelivent the age you are. 20, 30 40 50 +++++ most of us at some time or the other have received problems with dating and yes the older you get the harder it does appear to come as many of us are surrounded by circumtances.

I'm not sure in my case it's so much my age as my situation in life at the moment. I seem to be at a stage where younger guys want their own kids and older ones don't want to take on my kids (hmm, actually, maybe it is an age thing )

Note here that my expertise in this is minimal. It seems to me that our circumstances are partly our own doing. When younger we go to schools and universities where there are a multitde of siilarly aged people whose hormones are also kicking in. Later we associate with comfortable friends and fall into routines. Then something changes and we are alone again.

So is it now harder, yes. Sorry but I don't subscribe to the Mills and Boon vision that romance will just happen. We need to let other partners know that we are available and looking. And do this in an environment where the multitude of weirdos make woman suspect any first contacts.

So no I don't have any great answers. But first impressions are major, and take things in small steps.
