i reply to those i think i have something in common with, but even then some people r so dihonnest about what they are looking for on here,

ive sent messages and got no reply, doesnt bother me in the slightest, take it with a pinch of salt, if its meant to be, u'd get a reply.

Just a few observations - I think this is a great site but I agree with Ardal that it's hard for blokes on this or probably any other site if the statistics are widespread. There're like 209,000 men to 89,000 women on the UK one for a start!

Also I meet a lot of girls who are just here to make friends (NOT a criticism), which isn't so true of the men here who are generally looking for relationships or at least more than just friendship (please CORRECT ME if I'm wrong!!) so anyone who can do basic maths can see that this damages the odds more-so for men looking for love.

I think a guy generally tells a girl what he thinks she wants to hear (because he likes her and wants to make her happy), so if he says, "Hi gorgeous fancy a shag?" It's probably because he thinks you will like it LOL (after all some girls love that but would be labelled a slut for admitting it!). Why not take the time to explain what you do and don't like if he doesn't know any better? After all men tend to just mould to whatever you want them to be right? (shit I'm digging a hole here)

Also can any of you hetro girls out there answer this question for me? If you actually liked a guy on this site would you contact him first under any circumstances? Or is that against some kind of imaginary Cosmopolitan "play hard to get" rules? It's a serious question! Because that makes the possibility of meeting someone even less likely and we might as well all go home (oh wait we are home). It also goes against some of the original ideals of feminism which I know some of you lovely ladies out there fought so valiantly for in the sixties. (like my mum). PS I suspect men and women are being encouraged by the media to have increasingly unrealistic expectations of their partners. How come we all hate each other?? That's not natural. The sexes should be united, not divided. Peace out.

I had the philosophical phase during the first few dozens, as I expressed (spiced with dark humor) in an earlier post in somebody elses tread. But after a while it gets ridiculous ! What am I to entertain the girls in here without getting payed for it (or anything back). That becomes a slap into the face after a while. post on the forums (with out insulting every female member here)get yourself known, your personality known so that people will get to know you, that way you will get the replies from the girls that suit you.

What is this bollocks? I've had several girls contact me from the forums. I've had several contact me who aren't from the forums. I've made several friends from the chatroom. A few are incredibly good friends. I've even met people from the site. I've also had about 60 messages ignored. Tough shit!

I think he is feeling sorry 4 himself here. at the end of the day u dont know the girl, uve never spoken 2 them so y would u care? just move on and carry on sending the messages but u need 2 make them different and make a comment about their profile or common interests. 4 the 50 u send out, there will be 1 that replies! i do wonder what men r thinking when they send messages but i just read and then move on as im sure they have sent the same message 2 a dozen girls! If i reply its cos i like their pic, i like their picture and i like their profile, simple as that. but as i said before ive been on here 4 11 days and have received 178 new messages and prob replied 2 about 4 people and 1 of them im actually meeting 2mora!
