Yeah, you get into the mindset of either 'it's not going to happen' or of constantly falling for unattainable people.

Either way, I usually find geeks hotter than rude boys, at least. But just cause you're a geek doesn't mean you can be a wimp! Basically I like intelligence, not too much to ask for right?

I don't like this "rude boy" culture either, but most guys seem to be getting into that. (I judge by the amount of guys having their ass hanging out of their jeans). Geeks seems to have evolved a little bit and I see more now that work out and look reasonably normal.

I think intelligence is a wonderful thing, so much better to have a stiring conversation than to sit around watching eastenders etc

Good on ya Kate, Very Happy

Haha, what amuses me these days is 'scene kids', which to me, seems to be what happens when goths and rudeboys breed. I must admit I am a fan of the trousers-round-thighs look, just because you get a sneak preview, and it's also an excuse for guys to wear clean underwear, which, let's face it, is somewhat rare an occassion in itself

I think it's a bit of a mix. People want to look cool and edgy and hip, a la Goths, but at the same time they want to fit in and not get beaten the crap out of for wearing eyeliner, so they created a mix. But yes, I am a perv, a guy in low-slung skinny jeans is just plain hot (so long as they have good legs, this 'stick' look on men plus skin tight clothes just looks wrong, I want to cook them a lasagne rather than jump them...).

I thought rather than people wanting to look cool/hip they were dressing like that to rebel? I spent some time in the states and noticed a lot of young people joining fraternities & sororities; I don't see the point in that at all. I guess if I was to judge myself I would say I'm half geek half cool dude e.g. I have geek ways but also like to get out about.

A girl that can cook lasagne, now thats cool! Most people I know think cooking is heating some thing up out of the freezer.

Anyway we all perv in some way so perv away with my blessing Kate! Razz

They want to rebel but also to be accepted: being an ex-goth (picture me with purple hair!) I have several theories but they'll probably bore most to tears If you're half geek and half cool, you're a scene kid XD And I love cooking, if you want a lasagne, fry-up, roast dinner or pretty much any form of pasta and sauce, I'm your woman...
