I think it’s scary that there are so many different groups these days, we seem to have nerds, geeks, chavs and emo’s (just to name a few) I don’t why people like being grouped.

I prefer just being me and doing the things I like, I would hate to conform to the above.

hmmm not sure wot i would class myself as but there we go prob am a bit geeky lol as i spend alot of time on the net and playing mmorpgs eg eve online and fps . wot do u think?

I'm not sure all geeks are socially inept, just some, i'm a programmer and i still go out, drink, dance, program games at the weekend, boxing gym in the evenings, and play xbox live with my geeky buddies , i do know the geeks who are polar opposits of me, live with mum and dad(not a bad thing rich gits) play wow all evening and weekend and have to have the lastest issue of doctor who magazine....

HAHA I would LOVE to give you some insight to the female mind if I may. First of all, nothing wrong with living with your parents ( I live with mine) as long as you move out eventually. Nothing wrong with going online to meet people, play games, research...what have you ( I do that). Nothing wrong with being a IT tech...its a job and obviously you are intelligent enough to get it...(big plus on being smart).

Girls like a man with confidence in himself and everything he does...women do NOT like assholes!! ok, let's just get that straight. Women want a man who is strong, confident, and doesn't care about what other people think. Women want respectable gentlemen (old school prefferably).

Relax! when u are out with a women...act like she is just a person and this person u like. How do you act with your best friend (if you have one)? be that to an extent. BE URSELF! and if she doesn't like that, you dont want her as a gf ne way. there is someone out there for EVERYONE! there are no geeks, no nerds, non of that anymore...we are in the age of acceptance where there is no "normal" anymore. If there was a "normal" those people are the freaks. Got it?! besides "geeks" are the best people to hang out with... Hell I like to think I'm a "geek." I dance good and I dance like a spaz on purpose because it's fun. I make funny faces all the time, say things that dont make any sense...just to make my friends laugh.

As for the subject matter... I think Mussy made a point somewhere a while ago about what women want and a very good point too. Don't remember where though.

i agree with cutiepatootie22 on most of the things she said.. trouble is, i have mondo problems putting them into action myself as i just get all shy !

if your worried that women think your a geek... don't let on straight away that you are one ! you don't have to lie about it, just tell them your in a computing career or something
