ECCLES did you actually READ what I put?

I was saying there needs to be a balance. I LIKE politeness, I LIKE spontanaity! I like to be kept on my toes too!

'too nice' is boring, thats my opinion.....

I'm not the one who keeps getting dumped either! I'm not too nice and have always had good boyfriends that do have that 'balance'.
This site is just a bit of fun that has now turned far too serious. Apologies for getting involved.....

I think different people have different views of what "nice" is but for me, it means someone who:
1. doesn't go to the pub and knock his woman about
2. actually respects their partner
3. isn't afraid to show their love
4. does everything they can to please their partner (impossible!)
5. has their own life, hobbies, etc

I'm now of the opinion that you can spend TOO MUCH time together as a couple which makes things far too predictable because everyone seems to be getting more and more selfish nowadays and need their "me time". We all appreciate time alone so that's fair comment.

Whatever happened to good old fashioned RESPECT?

If a guy slammed a door in my face I'd probably laugh, unless it was a complete stranger and then that would be rude.

There are few guys who would do that anyway and it doesn't mean your 'nice' if you do have manners.

I think the term 'nice' is determined in many ways and it isn't about cheating or manners or buying stuff its about PERSONALITY.

We should all beg to differ.......

Everyone's opinions are valid, that was the whole reason why i started this thread and poll. To be fair, i kinda view dating sites as serious but fun because it's quite possible they could change the rest of your life if you happened to meet "the one". Chances are that you could also do that in Tesco but ugly buggers like me get a wider audience online. Laughing

I'm being serious.

I mean, i'm not a nasty person or anything, but I could definately cut down on my sarcasm.

I agree with the five points raised and agree fully with yourmanforevers comments but i still maintain that society isnt geared for the Nice person! or the gentlemen that still exist in thist day and age!!!There is too much of the bad guy wins these days!!!! so until im proved wrong im sticking to my guns!!!! and whether you know the person or not its still downright rude to let a door go in anyones face!! familiarity is not an excuss for crass ignorance!!!!
