do you ever give them a second or third chance? Or if you stand somebody else up, why and do you apologise or tells lies about why?

Nope and nope. I never give them a second chance, and I'd never stand anyone up.

At the start of April I was stood up and haven't met anybody since then......... erm yeah I've just remembered I was gona meet somebody else since that one but the day we planned to meet their profile and everything about them vanished from the site we met on....so I reckon they might have wanted to cheat on their partner and got found out or just got cold feet!

The annoying thing is, I never really know the reason why men don't show, but then again if they did tell me it could be a lie......just a bit fed up with getting mucked around really......but I AM giving somebody a second chance 'cos I like them a bit special already and they did apologise and didn't take it for granted that I would just accept them like a doormat!

I don't see why people can't get in contact if they aren't going to show up.

No excuse for it, really. I mean, how long does it take to make a two minute call/send a text? It's better than leaving someone waiting for you like an idiot.

Unless there was a valid reason..I wouldn't give them a second chance.

From my experiences I seriously would not bother making an effort with them. I gave this girl a second chance and it happened again. I do wonder whether the first excuse was a lie anyway.

To be honest it is like hiddenxlust said there is no reason for them to not contact you if they cannot show. I mean clearly us sensible people would. If they do not contact you witha good reason then really do not bother with them.

I'll be honest I'll stand up really really attractive girls on purpose 2 or 3 times maybe before the first date even happens. Sends a message that I don't care what they think and usually they're hunting after ME by the time that happens. My excuses are never lies I'll just say " a few things came up," which they did - I decided to do something else! That came up. I never lie - but you can use the power of persuasion to win people over, that's not dishonest - and with really beautiful woman sometimes they need to be dealt with harsher since they're being persued by so many men. YOu have to apply the right tactics to win over the best.
