1- It is apparent that we are living false life influenced by media and press.
both genders in other societies still pay more attention to inner beauty, education, steady employment or job, and have less trouble with many stigmas from ageism, race, skin, and statues, in fact if men are pretty they are considered famine rather than man, true grid and ugly or lined face considered to be more experienced and draw less attention to other women thus less jealousy.
2- It is true that opposite attracts and we see that with very pretty women do go out with not that good looking men, and wonder why. Just think about other qualities they may have I am debating inner qualities versus outer beauty here.
Your thoughts and input about this topic appreciated?

I've just written loads here, but it delves too much into my own personal situation, so suffice it to say, it's personality.
A number of guys who know that they're no oil painting will make more effort in other ways. For example; they're often humourous, some learn to cook to impress a woman, some are great lovers. The list is endless, but the main thing is, they make more effort to stand out in other ways.

Indeed.
Some do all three . . . and more.

hmm, it's just occured to me you may be talking about yourself here. Going by your pic, I'd say looks wise, you've nothing to worry about

Id pretty much agree. I have no idea what it is that women define as pretty, but they generally are much more open minded on looks than men are. You only have to walk down the street to see it. I mean men are generally dog ugly anyway, but you get some gorilla's out there holding hands ith some very lovely and delicate ladies. I have no idea why they aren't hung up on looks, all i can say is thank god they aren't.

Just had a really shallow thought. Maybe it's to make us look even better, lol

I think women have a different view on whats good looking. I've got a mate that women say is nice looking, but I cant see it. These men might look ugly to us red blooded men, but women have a different view. Women are not always attracted to pretty boys from what I can see.

Thanks, Red!
However, like a couple of the guys on here that the women have been kind enough to compliment on their looks - it doesn't really matter how many kind-hearted women say it, I'm unlikely ever to believe it, deep down.
But thanks, anyway.

And to be honest, I'm quite likely biased by now

Ouch @ the half-withdrawn compliment!
See what I mean about not believing it?

If you do nt believe in yourself? how are others expected to? That was what was said to me with that very same comment Scott. I to do not believe in myself and only see what i see in a mirror!

I believe in myself massively. Almost too much, possibly.
I just don't believe my looks are anything other than average.
. . . was what I was saying.

Oo, sorry 'Scot', wasn't meant to come across as a withdrawal, but i've found that trying to tell people what they firmly believe is wrong, doesn't work. It was ment as a further compliment, sorry
