Just wondered how many of us are still on friendly terms with our exes?

I am very lucky to have few as friends and keep in touch practically every week on the phones for years.

If there are children involved, then you almost have to try and stay friends! Rolling Eyes

I try to be, but I'm crap at keeping in touch with people so we usually drift away from contact.

Depends on how serious the relationship was:

If it was only a casual "fun" relationship in the first place, then friends is easy.

A more serious long term relationship? well - I try, I really do, but it always just ends up feeling wrong in the short term. The hardest part is being friends immediately after you split up - too many strong feelings.

If you meet up again several months down the line after you've both made a clean break it becomes much easier just to be friends. That close contact not normally associated with regular friends always plays a factor however...

I'm trying to be friends with my most recent ex. Even though he doesn't deserve my friendship(other peoples view..not mine.)

Depends on the wy we split up. If it was amicable, we're friends.

The fact is...This guy made me happy. Until he cheated. The only guy that has ever made me happy. Confused
