When i start seeing guys, most, not all of them, always say the same thing, 'God Ann-Marie your so refreshing a girl that is confident and who has a personailty to match' but then as time goes buy doesn't like the fact they are not on control ??? I am a pretty clued up sharp girl and they dont like it lol. Please let me you know your views on this subject, because i for one, find it very funny xx

Nothing wrong with a confident woman at all but you mentioned that the guys don't like the fact that theire not in control... are you the one in control or is it 50/50?

Very good point, maybe 'control' was the wrong word to use, i meant they like it when you dont hang off there every word and pander to there every need, that sort of thing and defiantely 50/50 all the way, but some men think it should 70/30, in there favour xx

Not in the slightest. The only trouble is the border between confidence and arrogance rests on a knife's edge.
Discerning one from the other is tricky at times.
We all go on about 'personality', but you can have too much of a good thing.

I have to say that confidence is the one major trait that i find really attractive. I mean im quite confident in myself and my abilities Im quite succsessfull in both social and work life and look for a similar person.
someone who can stimulate my brain and keep me interested but some women are fine untill they know that I like them and then they tend to play games.
I HATE GAMES.
The only thing I hate more than games is an insecure clingy person.
if you like someone and have finally got up the courage to let them know and then they play games making you chase them that tends to send me packing.. no time for it but if they are honest and up front its by far the best trait a woman can have.

What sort of games ?? if you like someone you have to be yourself. I think women are alot more insecure than men, just a fact of life and i am always honest, a little bit too honest, from a feelings persepctive, and that definatley scares alot of men off, some cant handle it xx
30.05.2007, 12:07 quote
hmm what sort of games? I dont think there is enough space in this white box for that .. and maybe im just being jaded because of a few bad experiences..
Im not the kind of guy that finds it easy to talk about feelings I prefer to just show how I feel, but when I do talk about them its straight to the point and honesty is always the best policy as if you cant be yourself then who can you be? hmm captain ace rimmer I think "smoke me a kipper.."
honesty and confidence my list seems to grow.
xx

I also find confident people attractive.
Insecurity is the biggest turn off!
Total deal breaker!
Confidence doesn't necessarily relate to dominance.
I think they are separate issues.

I love confident women.
Tell me what to do, 'cause I'll screw it up on my own.

Direct honesty is a quality I look for in a woman, so it certainly wouldn't scare me off. But she has to be willing to accept the same in return.
I also very strongly prefer assertive women with (well-composed) opinions. Nothing more annoying than when I ask for an opinion or preference and she just sheepishly says "oh, I don't care, you choose." Women who are assertive, take initiative, independent, and don't rely on their man to shepherd them through everything are far more attractive than the alternative.

This is a good question...
I am confident, opinionated and articulate... I find that the men I attract are often the opposite. Personally.. I find confident, articulate and opinionated men extremely attractive.. There is nothing worse than a man who will not take control (sexually or otherwise.) I like the passion and excitement that comes from relationships with people who are strong minded and strong willed.
I actually think that a lot of men are confused about what women want and what they want from women. We want our men to possess opposing qualities in a lot of cases. We are demasculating men. Is it any wonder the are confused!?!

could any woman tell me if this is the truth cos if not ive been labouring under a big misapprehension for many many years....... i thought that while women dont like to be just jumped on...... after they've got to know you for a while and they have have switched on the runway lights so to speak they want a man to seize the initiative dont they? you know grab the bull by the horns and take her home and ravish her to within an inch of her life and make her feel feminine and like well...a woman should...... am i right?
31.05.2007, 15:48 quote
well, that is what I like... I cannot speak for all women.. I'm sure there are some women who are sexually dominant and like to take control. Personally, that approach leaves me cold... I like dominant guys in and out of the bedroom xxx
