hehe the original statement could have been abit OTT, but im also new to the forum and when you send out a few messages, notice theyve all bin read, i was very polite in them all and a couple were just to make friends, and no reply it does seem a little rude, some people may disagree and say they owe you nothing, but come on just a little manners would do, even a not intersted or got enough friends would do, you wouldnt blank somone who said hi in real life

I'm sorry, but am i missing something here???

Actually i'm not sorry, so i'll start again.

I'm 40 this year so not a naive, young thing, but i was brought up to respect other people and to have manners. It appears than some people, don't give a monkeys about offending people. I'm spoken about this on another thread so won't go on but there's just no need for it. As the saying goes, 'If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'.

Apparently, on the internet, it's acceptable to have no manners and ignore total strangers - in real life, the only people I have ever 'blanked' was when a bloke I knew was waiting to go to court for beating up an old man for his drug money tried to stop in the street and say hello to me so I crossed the road, and another time some bastard neighbor lied about my son so when she said goodmorning in the street I 'blanked' her......otherwise, it takes all but a few seconds of my time to send a message to Joe saying "thanks for writing but I'm not interested" - after all, if I don't have a few minutes spare on here, what am I doing on here in the first place?

I'm nawt going against this again, but I just wanna quote one last thing.

I couldn't help but remember this love and the city episode in which Miranda went out on a date with a guy. They had a lot of fun and he never called her again. After 3 days or so, (him not returning her calls or something) the bold Miranda decided to take the matter in her own hands and phoned the guy at home. A woman answered, Miranda asked for Joe, the woman said she was his mother... Miranda went on asking if "that is the proper way to raise a child, not to call a woman back" and the woman at the other end said: Joe is dead. Who is this?
And they actually went on a date.

And I also remember a book saying: If he doesn't call you... It's not that he's been hit by a plane, drove off into the ocean, or is lying in a hospital bed. He's just not that into you. Confused But I never found myself strong enough to believe this. Laughing Laughing

I just posted here cause I didn't find another place to post this. Don't mind me. Razz

Bliss, I'm lost - I am guessing this is a tv soap? Without sounding too dense, what is the point of your little story? Laughing
Are you saying the girl went out with a ghost?
Or that sometimes a person dies right after you went out with them and no one knows you're in that person's life to be able to tell you that they died?
I'm very confused! Sad

I don't have the answer to that question. It is possible. Laughing
After all... Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore hit it off quite well after he died, in "Ghost", but they had to use a medium.

Cant blame Patrick for coming back for a bit. I’d give Demi a splash of ectoplasm anyday

Hippo-croca-pig is a fantastic word! Stems from the Latin meaning "big, ugly and smells bad". A phrase often used by Chris Moyles... I'm digging myself deeper and deeper into this hole of shovanism aren't I. Time to duck for cover... Bliss is back and out for blood. Wink

Wotsits, you've probably had enough of a response on your original message, but I thought I'd try to give you another perspective.

I'm a newbie (hello all) and am doing my best to answer every message.
I tried the "Thanks, but I'm not interested" response and been called standoffish, and I've tried giving a bit less abrupt (but in no way flirty!) response and only given the "thanks but no thanks" message when pushed to move onto MSN etc, and been called a tease! I've only been here a couple of weeks and I'm already a tad annoyed, so it's not really that surprising if not all females respond to all messages.

Hope that helps..oh, and

can't speak for everyone, obviously, but quoting one of the most obnoxious, least funny human beings on the planet hasn't swayed me towards your opinion that you're "funny as f&$k"!

Cheers!
