I'd say no, your not being shallow, as much as i'd be happy to date a taller woman there would always be the nagging doubt in the back of my mind that i was'nt "measuring up" so to speak, lol. I think we're pretty much conditioned to accept that the male should be taller than the female, but there are obviously exceptions.

Personally, i've been looking to date women with a waistline no larger than mine, now that, that's shallow for you lol.

height doesn't bother me at all. I'm not short, or tall, 5'8 - 5'9 and i know a couple, he is a 5'6 mouthy mancunian, she is a 6ft bossy liverpudlian, lovely people, shag like rabbits (we're reliably informed) and have no prob with the height difference and nor does anyone else. And i'm 'friendly' with a 5'11 redhead i met thru work and we don't have a prob either. Confused

Awww sorry if u took it like that...it came from a good place, really Embarassed Very Happy
You are not 'shallow'.
Different strokes for different folks, one mans meat is another mans poison, etc etc, you seem to know what you want in a 'significant other'.
Best advice i think would be - don't rule out a relationship with someone a bit shorter than you, cos you could hold out forever, maybe passing-by someone who you really click with, while wanting to meet someone who matches up to your ideal, and never finding him.
