Well after an 18 year relationship I'm a bit new to this dating business (and the internet wasn't even around then). In fact I'm feeling like a virgin all over again. At the moment I'm not looking for anything serious or long term -- a good time and hopefully some good sex afterwards with mutual respect would do me fine.

I'm not the kind of man who would jump into bed with anyone (fair play to you if you are), I have to fancy the person and there has to be a spark. Now, whether that person is older or younger shouldn't really matter, especially for a short or even one night relationship.

Looking through the profiles on this site I've seen women I fancied then thought, no she's too young for me, she'd think I was a dirty old man if I sent her a message. Then I might see a profile of a younger woman saying that she's open to new things and just wants no strings fun etc, then I might think why not?

If I was ever to settle down with someone I doubt she would be much younger than me but in the mean time if the opportunity arises and we're both up for it, why not?

I think as you get older, the age gap between two people can increase without any real issues. The only problem with age gaps really, is people being in different stages of their lives or maturity - something especially apparent in youth. But then of course, it's all dependant on the person, rather than the age.

My point? There's nothing wrong with it, as long as it's legal and you're both fine with it. Just ignore the nasty social ooo's and ahh's. Wink

Welcome to the forums funnyhoney Very Happy

My ex was 9 years younger & the age difference was never a problem, I must admit I prefer it that way.........It lasted 17 years & it wasn't the age thing that broke us up Sad

Yeh, sometime in April last year, I think. I did just try to find my first ever post (the first time I was darkhorse57), just for a bit of nostalgia, but can't find it.

Hmmm, the past 10 months have been quite eventful, I suppose I could post a roundup of 'My Year (Almost) On Flirtbox' in Anything Else, but there might be a few red faces if I mentioned names, so I shall probably just have to satisfy myself with memories.
