I think it might be more of a problem on the net Alice, because people set up constraints and tend to stick to the requirements when searching profiles.

I know its not a problem in real life, because when someone meets you and are attracted to you then age doesn't matter.

Probably one of the reasons why net dating doesn't always work for everyone, pictures and profiles don't always tell the full story. I go on a site where they have loads of meet ups, and its surprising the comments on the forums after the meets about peoeple, and the people that have got together after meeting at these events that probably wouldn't have done just relying on pictures and profiles.

No doubt she'll get loads of messages from curiuos 20 year old lads, so the women I know over 50 say they get anyway .

Well to be honest the most pm's I get (even though my profile says I'm just here for the forums) are lads under 25.....lots of saucy up-front ones that have had me in stitches too!
Obviously the age difference thing not-being-an-issue is still going strong in 2007...at least online!

There are lots of very odd bitter people in the world with nothing better to do than worry about age gaps. All animals have some basic instincts, and humans are animals, so we have those instincts as well.
Last time I looked it was legal to have love from the age of 16 in the uk and I don’t think anyone has put a upper limit on yet The baser instincts for a man is to find a member of the opposite love that looks fit and healthy, for the purpose of reproduction (have children) so that the species will survive, when a man get to an age where he cannot reproduce any longer, he just stops “I think it is called use it or loose it”.
A Woman has the same instincts as a man ie. To reproduce, to find a man that looks fit, healthy and strong, at a young age when their body is ready to do so, this starts from puberty, but for a woman there is a time/age limit, “Again I think it is called the change of life”.
So what has that got to do with age? Let me put it this way eating, drinking, and reproducing are instinctual behaviors. Instinctual behaviors are things we do almost automatically, without having to learn that we need to do them. However, most behavior is learned. For example, it is an instinct to eat, but eating in a “civilised “way - sitting up straight at the table, using a knife and fork, etc., is learned. I no longer need to reproduce, but because I am on a so called “civilised” planet I am told it should not be with this age group, that race or indeed that love. I think what I am trying to say is “sod the age gap if it “feels good do it” after all, with age comes the understanding of how to have good love, so why not teach someone younger there is 30 years between myself and my wife and it is not money she is after

Well i think it was early for me too, but What i am saying in short is We each get what we need from the other regardless of age or love, and silly people with small minds should go out and get what they need to make them better, happy, and more content in there own skins

we base searching for a partner on what other people think i dont care what age a woman is if she looks good has a good personality and feela the same way she could be a thousand years old age makes no difference its what you have together that is important

thousand years old umm not sure i could go for that i like my woman to have a bit of moisture left in them
