If at the end of the date she said it was the best date of her life, thats would give me a huge confidence boost aswell.

If she refuses to let me pay for the all the way through the date for her, that usually guarantee's me wanting a second date. Very Happy

I've lost the chance of a 2nd date before by refusing to let a guy pay my share of an evening out! Nice to 'meet' a guy who appreciates a woman wanting to do her bit Very Happy

First time i've been appreciated for being cheap Very Happy but joking aside unless its a strictly formal date, im guessing most people insist on sharing the bill anyway. although it does feels nice to spoil a nice girl now and again. Does spoiling contribute to the wow factor or the cringe factor for people?

Not very often I do the so-called 'woman thing', but just to complicate things, I love to be spoilt, it's just that I have rather too much pride for my own good. What's really stoopid is that the less money I have, the more likely I'll insist on paying my own way Embarassed Sad Embarassed

Now Red! you wouldnt have to empty the penny jar on a date with me!
I reckon though if we invited Morillo along we could pass the bill round the table until it stops at his spot!

THEN HEAD FOR THE TOILETS FOR THE WINDOW WE LEFT OPEN FOR SUCH AN EVENTUALITY?

i have made exactly the same mistake. I remember an old girlfriend saying that we could have a nice quiet night on valentines day rather than going out, She said it because she knew i was short on cash. Stupidly i insisted on taking her out to a fancy restaurant and ended up having to sell my playstation to cash converters to do it. I selfishly did it more for the sake of my pride rather than a nice night out with her in mind.

If I go out with a guy, I automatically insist on splitting the cost equally.

I won't let a guy pay more than half of the cost.

Being a bit old fashioned (in everything excpet having the latest gadgets of course) I go for paying the bill if I invite someone out.

But hey, we were talking about things that make you go wow, and the debate has turned to wallets?

Horse drawn cab anyone. Execuse me a moment my lady whilst I open the bubbly.
