I've used the 'not ready for a relationship' and had it used on me. When I said it I meant it..when they say it they did normally start dating somebody else shortly after.

"Can we just be friends".....aaaahhhhh....the five words NEARLY everyman dreads, those words connected in one sentence should be ILLEGAL!!! Razz

Methinks "I'm sleeping with your Dad" is worse though.

Better than hearing a girl say 'I'm sleeping with you're mum'!!

Well my wife (soon to be ex-wife) of 16 years told me ' I need to go & find myself'. I tried to tell her that I knew who & where she was, needless to say not one of my sensitive moments, it didn't go down to well!

I had this one a few months ago, think it's a new one:

"I do fancy you, I do like you, we get on well and I would go out with you. . . but not at the moment!"

Utter bull, sooooo funny!
