Unless you are planning to buy a new computer from March 2007 do not upgrade to Vista, it will not give you anything new or worth while compared to XP. If you have a operating system earlier than XP wait two months an buy a new computer.

If you are going to buy a new computer on my advice make sure it has at least 1GB of memory above all else.

If anyone doubts my advice I'm an IT techie of 18 years......!!!!!

Kind regards

Bloody 'ell, then I wouldn't trust your advise on anything newer than a vax box Razz

I'm planning on waiting another six months after the consumer release date to give the hardware companies a chance to bring out stable drivers, and it will be safe to assume there will be a number of security updates.

Not all Microsoft's business products work with Vista yet which is another reason to put off the migration.
