I use Firefox, and love it.
I've tried Opera, but didn't get on with it. I hate IE. It irritates me. I still have it on my laptop because some things just don't work with Firefox.

But now I've tried Firefox, I can't go back. LOl.

IE7 is bug-ridden and can make your machine run like a sack of shit. IE6 is pretty safe (still a bit buggy though) and runs like a charm.

IE 7 isn't very stable yet, got loads of bugs (and we don't mean the creepy crawly kind either. If it was me , I'd install Firefox (during the installtion process you can even automatically import your IE bookmarks and passwords, etc).

You can download Firefox from here http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox

Flock is also very good, an off shoot of Firefox - http://www.flock.com

Sorry, this is not quite true. Some things don't work in one web browser or another because the web designer or developer hasn't made the effort to make sure that things work exactly the same way in all browsers. Some designers build or develop primarily for IE because they believe that most people still use IE (which is largely true, statistically). One of the points of this poll.

For myself, I build to work in Firefox and then apply 'fixes' to the code and CSS so that a site works exactly the same in IE, Safari and Opera.

I'm using IE6. I don't care about whatever bugs there might be in it, I'm comfortable using it and I know that it works.

I didn't actually mean it how it sounded. I vaguely remember my ex telling me about the 'fixes' that some designers do. But quite a few sites I have come across do not work properly with Firefox.

cmiso

I use Firefox mostly (oddly it's spelling checker just highlighted Firefox, so added that to dictionary) and occasionally view things in IE when I don't want to be logged in or when sites (like my banks, Rolling Eyes ) are poorly written that they don't view properly on Firefox.

Favourite extension is the adblocking one http://adblockplus.org/en/ my list of blocked pictures gets ever larger.

I use foxytunes a lot too. http://www.foxytunes.com/

Never heard of flock, but might have a look. I miss netscape 3. Laughing

CMISO brought up another very good reason to use Firefox, the extensions that are available for it.

Apart from the obvious point of running this poll, I was hoping to get people to think about which browser they use, and to perhaps consider using a different one if they're using IE.
