ok so my ex got the torrent stuff on pc, but I don't how to use it, I did downlaod something once, but now, everytime I click download, download manager comes up, I click download, but then the file doesn't go into the torrent folder. I already have one album in there that I did the other day, but it's not downloading, I've clicked start and force start but nothing, is it just because there are no peers online...I don't get how there can be nobody online with that album. Sorry, I am really thick when it comes to stuff like this. So, if anyone could tell me simply here, then that would be great, if I have to be pointed to websites where I have to read loadsa stuff I will, but I'm hoping someone can just tell me? I'm confused with apple seeds and peer pressure and all the bloody reast of it!!!

Let's start with the simple stuff first - which album do you want?

Are you using Bit Torrent? If not, which torrent downloader are you using?

Sadly, you can actually wait for days for some torrents to download; in that case I'd just go elsewhere.

ah right, well I've just worked out the stupid bit, that you have to send from download manager to the torrent (mines u torrent) and one loaded really quick, then found out I alreday had that album lol now have downloaded another and it's not doing anything so yeh, it get the idea, keep flicking till one starts a download. well I get the basics now, guess I dont really need to know the rest hehe, thanks for help Very Happy I might be back...

µTorrent is a lightweight and efficient BitTorrent client for Windows with many features. µTorrent - Powerful BitTorrent Client

Azureus is all at once one of the most robust and visually appealing BitTorrent clients.

How does a torrent work?

Well...it's file sharing on mass.

One person is a seeder (hence seed)....the others are downloaders(you)...what you have downloaded gets uploaded straight away for others...lots of downloaders means file sharing goes faster.

No seeder=no downloading.

Hope this Helps.

i recomend Azureus ! it's a great program ! i also use isohunt.com as the search for it - you type in what you want, if available it brings it up - click download, when it flashes up the open / save box - tick the box in the bottom left that says always do this or don't ask me again, then click open - that way you don't have to faff about with it as it loads the torrent client instantly and add's it to the download list.

i use it mostly for downloading Ebooks ! Cool

I would also recommend http://www.youtorrent.com/ as a torrent search, it searches other torrent sites (incl: isohunt, piratebay, mininova etc) and gives results from them all.
