Oh I am jealo9us of all you clever people. I wish. I use DreamWeaver but I don't have to learn languages. I tend to copy and paste a bit of Java so get away with that. But I know DW hangs onto code sometimes when I take things out and would love to learn. I know there are places on the web and books but it just looks so hard. Then at 51 it might be a bit too late
Regards

I have a degree in Software Engineering, and had to learn most languages during my time at University. They include :
C++
Q-Basic (Used to love this language)
VB 6.0 (and a bit of .net)
SQL
Java
HTML (And some snippets of DHTML, Javascript, etc..)
ASM
A few years back my main hobby was Reverse Engineering Commercial Programs, and that taught me a great deal about ASM (Assembly and Hexeditors, and the like)

If you are running Windows XP, Dr Watson is usually the cause of a lot of slowdown problems. It seems to tak e a lot of resources and doesnt actually work correctly, and Microsoft dont seem to care.
Anyhow, I would sugest disabling that, and rebooting, it may well be the cure you are lookijng for.
to do this.. press 'Start'-->'Run'-->type in 'regedit', and press enter.
When the Registry Editor Opens search (press F3) for the Aedebug folder, and delete it, then reboot your machine.
Hope that is helpful.

Is it really an art to know a programming language? Basically everything modern has some programming language and it literally is no sweat to write your own programming language. Any project that's worth it's salt and of moderate to large size will NOT be completed using only a single programming language. Such projects will most probably inlcude "languages" like C++ or Java (or wahtever), XML, MySQL (or whatever database is used), maybe some PHP (or JSP, ASP....) if the system will have a web interface or frontend. The real art is in learning and understanding the technologies underneath these projects, and designing these projects and technologies.
I mean, really, MFC is NOT a programming language, it is a framework used to create applications quickly and easily. The programming language used to create these applications is totally irrelevant (although C++ is used primarily).
When you know something about computer systems and programming, it shouldn't be difficult to learn a new programming language or technology. It's just a matter of getting to know which technologies is best suited for the project.
